Hi,
the customer has an existing production system running an SAP HANA SPS06 DB (Rev. 68) running on a SLES11 SP1 system and would like to upgrade to SPS08 running on SLES11 SP3 with the introduction of a new SAP HANA Appliance.
One scenario is to install SAP HANA SPS06 DB on the new system and do the upgrade to SPS08 there, so here's the question: is SAP HANA SPS06 supported on SLES11 SP3? - I would assume so (since the new glibc libraries are backward-compatible), but just to be sure . . .
Thanks much & Regards,
Arnold
Yes. We have done an install of SPS06 on SLES 11 SP3.

Hello Arnold,
From the latest HANA 1.0 Product Availibility Matrix, I do not find the support of SLES 11 SP3 regardless of HANA SPS0x.
So please make sure that the HANA hardware is supported SLES 11 SP3?
Thanks & Best Regards,
Tong Ning
