Hello,
we have a business case where we look at managing work generated from various back-end systems (SAP/nonSAP) and respective processes using a HANA platform. As a component of the overall solution we look into visualizing the related human tasks, queues and statuses for operational reporting in that platform as well.
A prerequisite would be to populate backend task information into HANA and do the necessary prioritization and finally allocation decision in HANA in real time.
One of the technical questions to answer will be how to get the backend information into HANA fast enough considering continuous delta updates.
Does someone can comment on the available data services , extractors we could use? We look into using Sybase Replication Server as well.
Nevertheless to make an informed recommendation we would like to look at a comparison of the options.
Furthermore we would need some information on what the process is / what information is required for the hardware vendor to provide appropriate HANA appliance.
Any help would be appreciated.
regards
Oliver
SAP provided Replication Technologies are:
1. BODS(Business Object data Services)->ETL based
2. SLT (SAP Landscape Transformation)->Trigger based
3. DXC (Direct Extractor Connection) ->Extractor based
In addition to these,for HANA Enterprise Extended Edition we have SYBASE Replication Server.
