Shared HANA License

Hello

How does HANA Licensing works ? I know the minimum license is of 64GB. What if i want to use one 64GB license for multiple SID's i.e. one instance is of 40 GB and another is for 24 GB (like Dev Instance - 40 GB & QA Instance - 24 GB) ? Please share your thoughts here.

Hi Sri,

You are right in stating that HANA License comes in Unit and each Unit = 64 GB. You cannot share the HANA License as SAP shares the License details in an txt format which needs to be imported through HANA Studio.

Dev and QA HANA Licenses are free of cost, only Prod is charged for HANA.
