Hi Team,
I am currently using trial version of SAP HANA for knowledge purposes. I had problems importing data into HANA. First of all I would like to mention that there is no proper documentation to which a novice can refer, person has to look up for videos on youtube to get a hold of this software. I looked up few youtube videos on how to import data into HANA and got lucky. I was only able to import <6MB csv data (flat file), and any form of data more than 6MB would sadly crash HANA. Please help. Also let me know if there is any other way of importing CVS/ EXCEL/ SQL data which is of huge size into HANA.

Hi Aript,
Can you try writing an Import statement in HANA SQL console? See the blog. http://scn.sap.com/community/developer-center/hana/blog/2012/12/07/how-to-load-a-flat-file-using-aws... I am sorry that it was not easy for you to find how to upload a flat file . Here is the SDN document which shows step by step instruction for it. http://scn.sap.com/docs/DOC-27960 Also, look at data provisioning tools.

Hi Magesh
Thanks for your reply on this. Would appreciate if you could help me more out here. I am currently using the trial version which runs through CloudShare VM's and I am unable to figure out how to load data using control file. Actually I tried importing CSV data using the traditional import function, the CSV file being of size 7MB, the SAP Hana Studio would crash. Please help.
